Dear HUST Members,

You may remember that last season HUST sponsored the shirts of Peter Kioso.  We now have Peter’s shirts in hand and one lucky HUST member will win his match worn home shirt in an exclusive HUST member prize draw.  To be sure your name is in the draw to win the shirt then please check that your membership is still active.  All HUST members as of 31st July 2019 will be entered into the draw with the winner contacted soon after.

Peter’s match worn away shirt will be auctioned to raise funds for HUST.  Please keep an eye on HUST social media and the website for more details in the near future.

On behalf of HUST members for the 2019-20 National League season the HUST Board have opted to sponsor the home shirt of new goalkeeper Ben Killip.  Ben is a quality young player, an England C international who has a big future in football and we are delighted to welcome Ben to HUFC.  At the end of the season we will receive Ben’s match worn shirt.

HUST Golf Day Review

Some of the Pools legends who supported the event

If you’re not in the HUST Facebook group then you might have missed the photos from our 2019 golf day which was held recently at Wynyard Golf Club. You can find a review of the event, including a selection of photos and an interview with HUFC’s player of the century Ritchie Humphreys here.

The event raised funds for HUST with 10% of those raised to be used for supporting community initiatives.  We already have next year’s event booked so put 22nd May in your diary and get in touch if you want to enter a team.  More details will follow in due course.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the event, particularly to our main sponsor Bristol Street Motors Hyundai, Peterlee.  You can find their details here.

HUST Meet with Micky Barron

Closed season leaves us with football related withdrawal symptoms.  We used the time out to meet with former club captain and manager Michael Barron to find out what he’s up to now and to hear his thoughts and memories of Pools.  You can find the video interview on our website here.

Thanks to Micky for his time.  You can follow him on twitter @mickyb22.

Match Day Programmes Available

Do you fancy the chance to reminisce at some Pools seasons gone by?  We have a range of match day programmes from 1987 to 2003 available on our website. Thank you to Stephen Wiles for his donation.

Kind regards,
HUST Board
