Legends Day
Were you at Seaton Carew FC’s Hornby Park earlier this month to see the Fans face Micky Barron’s HUFC Legends team? In what was predictably a one sided affair and despite the awful weather the event was a fantastic opportunity to see the Poolie Legends back in their blue and white strips and to hear stories from their time at Pools.
A huge thank you and massive congratulations to everyone involved on the day, raising £2532 which is to be split between HUST and Ian McGuckin’s HUFC Youth Academy.
Annual Foodbank Collection
Once again HUST will team up with HUCSF and HUFC to hold a collection for the local foodbank. The collection will take place on Saturday 23rd of November at our home match vs. Boreham Wood and is part of a town wide collection event. Last year’s event collected enough food for 750 meals and this year we are targeting 1000 so please spread the word around.
Donations can be dropped off in the Club’s main reception on Clarence Road or in the Corner Flag and we hope members will support this important community initiative.
You can find out more about the Hartlepool Foodbank here.
Did you know that Dubai will host the World Expo in 2020?
With generous support from our corporate member Kyle Travel Services one lucky pair will win a trip for two to Dubai in our special Holiday draw. With return flights and 5 nights in a 4* hotel included you can be in with a chance of winning the prize for just a fiver a ticket. You can find out all about the draw here.
Can you help us sell tickets? This is an amazing fundraising opportunity for HUST and obviously the more tickets we sell the better.
Businesses? Local pubs and clubs? Family, friends, team mates, colleagues?
We would welcome any contact from members who are able to sell tickets on HUST’s behalf. Please get in touch.
HUST AGM 2019
The HUST AGM will take place upstairs in the Corner Flag on Thursday 5th of December 2019 at 19:00. Refreshments will be available from 18:30 and we hope as many members as possible will attend. The AGM is an opportunity to meet with the HUST board and to approve additions to the Board for the coming period. It is also a chance to ask any questions, raise ideas, and address concerns that you may have about HUST directly with the HUST volunteer board.
Kind regards,
HUST Board
