We are pleased to announce that HUST will once again face Sanctuary Rangers in a fundraising football match, which is taking place on Sunday 17th July at Grayfields with a 3pm kick-off.

Sanctuary Rangers are a local Sunday League team that includes refugees and asylum seekers and you may recall that HUST played them last year (of course losing) and we feel it is a perfect opportunity to support the team again. HUST players will be paying to play, with the money being split 50/50 between HUST’s community ticket initiative whereby some of the team will be able to attend a Pools game early in the season, and the funding required for them to play in their league throughout the season. You are welcome to donate to this specific fund here and we hope as many as possible will come and support the event.

HUST Chair, Julia Newton said: “We are delighted to support our friends at Sanctuary Rangers again and hopefully encourage more supporters of Pools through the ticket initiative . HUST feel it is vital that the Club have links to the roots of our local community and we are pleased we can support with this.

As well as our usual management duo of Eddie Kyle and Tony McAndrew, we are hoping for a few special guests to attend so keep an eye on our social media feeds for updates.

Many thanks to FC Hartlepool for their support of the event and the wider initiative.

We look forward to seeing you there!
